Cherry Creek Arts Festival Returns with Hundreds of Artworks, Performances by Tune-Yards, Ghost Tapes and More

The festival will return to its usual Cherry Creek North location this year after being temporarily relocated during the pandemic.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival returned. From July 1-3, the free annual outdoor art fair will feature art, as well as a lineup of musical performances by artists including indie-pop band Tune-Yards and local artists Ghost Tapes , Mary Louise Lee Band, Ramakhandra and more.

Presented by arts education non-profit CherryArts, the 2022 event marks the festival’s return to its usual Cherry Creek North location after being moved to the creek side area of ​​the Cherry Creek Mall to allow for greater social distancing. .

This year’s festivities will include offerings from dozens of local food vendors, interactive art experiences, an art fair featuring over 250 national and international artists working in a range of media, a children’s activity station and live performances by 15 artists, including a paid fundraising concert by Tune-Yards.

The 2022 festival also marks the return of its Student Art Purchase Program. The program gives students from 22 Colorado schools the opportunity to purchase works by festival artists to include in a permanent installation at their schools.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival kicks off Wednesday, June 29 with a ticketed celebration at the Clio Hotel. The festival itself will take place on July 1 and 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and July 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be an additional accessibility hour on Friday, July 1, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
