Deadpool Reveals Morbius, Venom Concept Art for Midnight Suns

Deadpool’s takeover of the Midnight Suns Twitter account reveals concept art showing a new look for Morbius and Venom.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns continue Deadpool’s unique marketing by hijacking the official Twitter account until it’s added to the game by leaking concept art for two more characters, Morbius and Venom. While Deadpool has yet to join the midnight suns roster, the Merc With A Mouth leak revealed new outfits for the two classic anti-heroes. Morbius was one of the first Midnight Sons in the early ’90s, though this time around he seems to be on the bad guy side, while Venom’s allegiances, like his costume, constantly change.

GAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The turn-based tactical card game of midnight suns will see players take control of a diverse roster of Marvel heroes, from Wolverine and Captain America to the mystical New Mutant Magik and Nico Minoru of Runaway. The player will face off against a team of villains, including Sabretooth, Lillith, and members of HYDRA. Creative director Jake Solomon has revealed that one final playable character will be earned by beating the game while it’s possible more will join the roster via DLC.

Deadpool’s tweets about Morbius and Venom show both characters sporting new gold-accented looks to match the aesthetic of the rest of the heroic cast. Traditionally, Morbius is seen in a dark blue outfit with a torn red cape while Venom sports a black and white look. No new gameplay footage was shown for either character and although Venom was first seen in midnight suns’ reveal trailer is the first good look at the design of Morbius.

Morbius and Venom being included in midnight suns makes sense considering they both recently had their own movies. While Deadpool’s tweet plays on Eddie Brock’s face, multiple characters have been Venom over the years, which always leaves the possibility of Venom being Flash Thompson, Mac Gargan or Eddie’s son and the current comic Venom Dylan Brock. The inclusion of the original character The Hunter as midnight suns’ the protagonist shows that Firaxis will not be beholden to the existing comic story regarding the plot of midnight suns.

Many Marvel Supernatural Characters Could Still Potentially Be Part Of midnight suns, like recent Disney+ stars Werewolf by Night and Man-Thing. Deadpool’s takeover of Twitter shows no signs of ending, meaning it could last until the December 2 release date for midnight suns. More characters may be revealed before then as playable heroes, villains, or DLC.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns launches December 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S with PS4, Switch, and Xbox One versions coming later.
