A four-day exhibition of coffee powder artwork for World Environment Day will kick off at the Prasad Art Gallery, Ballalbagh here from June 4.

The exhibit titled “Green Waves,” which is a collection of coffee paintings, features wildlife and aquatic animal artwork by artist Jane Noronha. It is supported by the Forest Department.

According to Ms. Noronha, part of the proceeds from the artworks sold will be donated to an educational fund for the education of children belonging to tribal families in the Western Ghats.

The Sahyadri Sanchaya, a voluntary organization, educates these children through its Vanachentana program.

YK Dinesh Kumar, Deputy Conservator of Forests, Dakshina Kannada will open the exhibition at 5 p.m. Saturday. A documentary film Vanachethana will also be released on this occasion. The exhibition will remain open until June 7.
