Gen V Releases Concept Art For Twisted Version Of Xavier’s School

Production continues Generation Vthe next college spin-off from The boys, and some early concept art for the series has been released online. Showing Godolkin University, the setting for the upcoming TV show, there are plenty of Easter eggs and references as part of The Boys’ larger universe, as well as plenty of architecture that students will recognize. For those who haven’t read the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comic series, Godolkin University was a direct parody of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters and we expect John Godolkin, the parody of Professor X, to appear in a certain way.

In their tweet, the Vought International account writes of the concept art: “At Godolkin University, we aim to provide a comfortable environment for a new generation of heroes to learn what they are made of. That’s why we’re rethinking the student union. and dormitories thanks to the generous contributions of donors. Be sure to plan your fall giveaway today!” The Boys creator Eric Kripke, who is also an executive producer on Gen V, added, “This is the VERY FIRST LOOK at concept art for #GenV. I saw the first batch of eps. Kinky, bloody — with heart! You’ll love it.”

When the next Generation V will be released remains to be seen, although a premiere before The boys season four seems likely. Amazon Prime Video and the show’s executive producers have already confirmed that there will be a crossover between the two shows, but it’s unclear if it will be exclusively in the larger narrative sense or if a character like Homelander will appear at a given time.

“There’s definitely a crossover, and we’re doing our best to design a universe that sees some of the issues and storylines from Season 3 carry over into the first season,” Kripke said in conversation with Collider earlier this year. “Like there’s a presidential campaign in the background of this season, and there are certain things happening at this school that are both in reaction to season 3 of The boys. There’s Soldier Boy, etc., but also new storylines that unfold during this season of the spin-off that we need to pick up and incorporate into Season 4 of the show.”

The first three seasons of The boys, with its animated spin-off Diabolicalare now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
