Mount Pleasant auto store burglary: suspect arrested
MONT PLEASANT, Wisconsin. – Officers responded to a burglary alarm at an auto store near Capitol Avenue and Norton Avenue in the village of Mount Pleasant shortly before midnight on Thursday, July 22.
Responding to the alarm at Chuck’s Sheridan Auto, an officer saw a subject flee from the area. He attempted to make contact with the individual, who then fled north. A perimeter was established and a search of the area was carried out with the assistance of the K-9 unit of the Sturtevant Police Department.

The suspect was located and turned over to officers near 23rd Street and Mead. The suspect has been identified as Jacob Brown from Racine.
According to a statement, he was in possession of items taken during the burglary.
Brown was transported to the Racine County Jail where he is currently being held on the following counts: burglary, theft, criminal damage to property, resistance / obstruction of an agent and bail.
