When will the MCU fully reveal the X-Men?

Including a dedicated Cyclops Easter egg in AvengerCon would have been a huge surprise for any MCU fan, but it would also have raised a lot of questions about franchise continuity. It’s possible that concept artist Shae Shaz placed the X-Men Easter egg as a fun nod to mutants before the studio blocked him from featuring such a reference. The same goes for the appearance of the Stormtrooper in the image.

It’s unclear when Cyclops and the rest of the X-Men will be properly introduced into the MCU, but Ms. MarvelThe confirmation that Kamala Khan is a mutant could hint that the mighty group of heroes is coming soon. It’s likely that the storylines of the multiverse saga will be resolved first before Marvel Studios does everything to show the mutants’ beginnings.

It’s also only fitting that the scrapped Easter egg would be linked to Cyclops, given the strong bond between the leader of the X-Men and Kamala from the comics. The day after Second Civil War from Marvel Comics, Kamala, Spider-Man and Nova have parted ways with the Avengers to form a new team called the Champions.

One of the members of Kamala’s new team is a time-shifted version of Cyclops. The pair formed a strong bond with each other, cementing Kamala’s friendship with Cyclops as one of her compelling bonds with mutants.

This Easter egg could be a reference to this strong friendship from the comics, indicating that a similar bond will occur in the MCU in the future.
